<p align="left"><font size="1"><span>    </span>Three college friends have opened Indaba Coffee Bar in 1700 square feet of shared leased space at 1425 W.</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">Broadway, in Spokane.</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1"><span>    </span>Bobby Enslow, Ben Doornink, and Jimmy Addington, who became friends while attending Washington State</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">University and who all graduated within the past two years, are sharing the commercial space located in a new lowincome</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">housing development with The Book Parlor and with Katie's Table, a nonprofit deli and grocery store.</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">"We didn't see any other cool hangout for West Central residents to gather in a social kind of way," Doornink says.</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">"Our goal is to provide a place where local residents, the homeless, lawyers, and artisans can rub shoulders and</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">experience the things we all share as people."</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1"><span>    </span>Indaba is starting with one full-time and two part-time employees, but Doornink says it will probably add more parttime</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">employees. The trio say they took the coffee shop's name from an African word meaning a gathering of tribal</font></p>
<p align="left"><font size="1">leaders to discuss important matters, share resources, and collaborate ideas.</font></p></font></font>

<p>Indaba Coffee Bar is set to open Nov. 9 in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood.</p>
<p>Owners Bobby Enslow, Ben Doornink and Jimmy Addington of Spokane
will offer Italian-style espresso, French-press coffee and pastries.</p>
<p>The coffee bar is in the newly constructed Walnut Corners housing
development, 1425 West Broadway. Indaba will be sharing a commercial
space with The Book Parlor, a nonprofit bookstore, and Katie’s Table, a
nonprofit deli and grocery store. The Book Parlor is open now and
Katie’s Table plans to open soon.</p>
<p>“Indaba” is a South African word that refers to a gathering of tribal leaders.</p>
<p>A portion of Indaba’s proceeds will go toward supporting the
community through organizations such as Project HOPE, an at-risk youth

Spokane's Bike to Work Week as an Energizer Station, offering water, Bumble Bars, and Bumper Crop Coffee.  As the only Energizer Station in West Central we saw many riders come on by and get excited about our presence in the neighborhood.  We were equally excited to see how many participants there were and the positive effect it had on themselves and the city.  Way to go Spokane!<br /><br /><div onlookers as nearly 45,000 people passed right outside our front door.  Ben, Bobby, and Jimmy were all there talking to curious passers-by and giving encouragement to the participants who were so near the finish line.  We saw all sorts of interesting racers...  Superman flew on by.  Ms. Pac Man chased a few ghosts past the building.  Even some jedi and a few gorillas passed on by.  What a day!  We
