What is INDABA?

INDABA is a community-oriented coffee shop located in the West Central Neighborhood of Spokane, WA.  We serve locally-roasted, premium coffee and Italian-style espresso drinks.  We support local artists, musicians, and artisans, proudly displaying art on walls, hosting live music and selling homemade specialty wares.  We give back a portion of our proceeds to the community.  Five percent of our gift card proceeds to towards Project HOPE, a gang-prevention initiative for at-risk youth in Spokane. We are proud to call ourselves "West Central's Neighborhood Coffee Shop"

Where did the name INDABA come from?

In 2007, Bobby Enslow had a chance to travel to South Africa with an organization called Two Tunics where he assisted in the development of small business through micro-financing.  This experience made an impact on his life and when INDABA needed a name, Bobby chose "INDABA", tying his past experiences into his dreams for the coffee shop.

What does INDABA mean?

INDABA is a Zulu word that refers to a gathering of tribal leaders in order to discuss important matters, share resources, and collaborate ideas.  This word is at the heart of our mission: to unite different people groups (i.e. tribes) across West Central, Spokane, and the World...one cup at a time.
